Learn about the Alpacas

At Silk Fields Farm there are five alpacas, named Bambi [right], Hazel [left], Heiress, Luna [middle], and Anna. They are all girls, with Luna being the youngest, born in 2020. Heiress is the mother of Luna, but Anna took on the role of a very overprotective aunt all throughout her upbringing.

While our alpacas are extremely sweet, they can be pretty untrusting of new people coming into their space.

​Make sure to approach them slowly and let them come say hi to you! They appreciate their personal space, just like people. 

Their favorite treat is corn, closely followed by all the different plants within their enclosed area!
