About Us

Silk Fields Farm is a family-run farm in Lexington. Together with Lexfarm and Kids Cooking Green, we are motivated to teach people about family farms, where their food and clothes come from, personal health, and sustainability!

We also have a Facebook page that you can view for other videos, photos, and more! Visit us at

Who We Are

Silk Fields Farm is a farm run by the Goldinger family and volunteers. Interested in joining? Get in touch with us via the contact page to volunteer here and learn more about the animals!

Our History

Silk Fields Farm was built in the summer of 2011. The first goats were brought in early fall, named Naya, Ella, Sapphire, and (their mother) Ionia. The first goats to be born on the farm, Salty and Peppers, arrived the following spring. Since then, we have had another successful litter of goats almost every year, and the farm continues to flourish.
